Contractors quote after seeing the roof, not from a postcode, so where in Lynwood you are affects who turns up rather than what you are told.
Close behind that: the marine layer keeping the north slope damp. Nothing dramatic happens. A slope stays damp most mornings for thirty years, and eventually that is enough.
Most asked for around here: storm damage repair
The first hour after a storm is about stopping water, not about getting the best price. Those are two separate jobs and they happen in that order.
Questions
How many contractors will contact me?
No more than three. We picked that number because two quotes is not enough to spot an outlier and five is an ordeal.
Why three quotes and not one?
Because one price tells you nothing. Three tells you where the middle is, and the outliers are informative in both directions — the very cheapest is usually leaving something out, and the most expensive should be able to say what you are getting for it.
Are you a roofing company?
No. Lynwood Granite Roofing is a free matching service. We do not hold a roofing licence, we do not employ crews, and we never come to your house. We pass your request to independent local contractors who do the work and who you hire directly.
